When I started working for BackRoads and met the amazing team, my first thought was: we have to plan a sea adventure! The message was sent out in a bottle, and the news spread like wildfire. Within days, the most pirate-like crew on the company had assembled. With such a gang, and after an intense season of work, we could only trust in the character of a boat named Tequila to carry us.
And so began this new maritime adventure through the Dalmatian Islands. A week that started with calm winds and a crew surprisingly eager to learn the art of sailing, and ended with real knot exams to save the sailboat, dinghy and flamingos races, rough seas, and a full-blown mutiny that took over the ship. Meanwhile, I, tied to the mast like Odysseus, reveled in the spirit of this fresh batch of pirates.
